As part of Boston Brilliance speakers Dr Joshua Blamire & Historian Neil Wright shall host two enlightening talks.
Dr Joshua Blamire's will discuss how a new virtual exhibition has engaged a group of local residents to explore the hidden histories and heritage of Boston that show the town and region to be a historically diverse and cosmopolitan place.
Working with local graphic designer Mark Baker, a virtual exhibition has been developed to showcase historical research and local stories in an engaging and stimulating way.
At this launch there will be a demonstration of the exhibition, and the residents will reflect on their experiences of participating in this innovative local heritage project.
Following Dr Joshua Blamire's talk, Neil Wright will speak on Boston's Cultural & Architectural Legacy.
Boston boasts a rich history stretching nearly a thousand years. Neil Wright, author of Boston in 50 Buildings, will offer an insightful journey through the town’s unique architectural and cultural legacy. His presentation delves into key historical and architectural features, including:
