Lincolnshire Legends through music, stories, and song

Guildhall 003

About

Learn about a selection of Lincolnshire Legends through a presentation of stories and song at Boston Guildhall.

Who or What constitutes a Lincolnshire Legend? It could be a person, real or imaginary, living or dead. It could be a true story, or a figment of someone’s creative mind. This presentation seeks to visit some Lincolnshire legends, in a light-hearted manner, using images and performing associated music and songs.

From the Lincolnshire tornado in the Devil’s year of 1666 to the Pilgrim Father’s departure from Boston – from Jimi Hendrix’s appearance in a Lincolnshire warehouse, which heralded the Summer of Love, to Bull Running in Stamford. Many more stories await, including the legendary Lincoln Imp to be found in Lincoln Cathedral!

Tickets £7.50pp are available at Boston Guildhall (cash only), or online.

Organised by the Society for Lincolnshire History & Archaeology (SLHA) and presented by Tom Lane, Nigel Creasey and Terri Clarke.
