Medieval Showcase

The Knights of Skirbeck will be showcasing some of their tents, weapons, armour, authentic living history items, and skills in Central Park.

You may hear participants yell melee, which is the cue for the knights to take their weapons and fight until the last person standing. The audience then shout the 'magic' words, and all the participants miraculously recover.

At many of the bigger events, dozens, hundreds, or even thousands combine forces to reenact famous, or imagined, battles. Sometimes the outcome is known in advance, sometimes a battle allowed to run it's course.
