St Botolph's Library, which opened in 1634, has been refurbished, so the iconic collection of books within, which date as far back as 1170, can be viewed in all their glory.
The purpose of the refurbishment is to ensure the proper preservation and improvements include wall repairs, new décor, UV filters, temperature control, and new bookcases.
The highlight of the collection is St Augustine’s work on Genesis ,which is over 850 years old, and the oldest book in the library.
